BioJuan Carlos Molina is a journalist based in New York. He started his television news career in 1998 working as a reporter and assignment desk editor at local TV stations in Tampa, Orlando and Gainesville.
In 2006, Juan Carlos moved from Florida to New York to work for Fox News in their affiliates divison. He produced daily news packages for more than 170 local Fox affiliates across the country. He also field produced live coverage of major news events including: the 2011 New Year's Eve celebration in Times Square, the 2012 Papal Conclave in Rome, and the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa. In 2013, Juan Carlos was part of the launch team at Al Jazeera America. He worked in the New York bureau as a reporter and senior producer. In 2014, Juan Carlos joined CBS This Morning as a producer. There he covered major breaking news events including the U.S. Ebola outbreak, the Ferguson protests in 2014, and Hurricane Maria in 2017. Juan Carlos is a 'jack of all trades' with more than 20 years experience in television news production. He is skilled in script writing, field shooting, video editing, booking guests, and managing live and pre-taped studio shoots. Juan Carlos has managed teams and projects that include multi-camera field shoots and live shot as well as live in-studio guest segments. Juan Carlos was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. His interests include going to classic cars shows, collecting vintage movie cameras, and listening to 90's grunge and classic hip hop music. He also has a lifelong love for filmmaking and independent films. Juan Carlos lives in Queens, New York with his wife, Sue, who is an actor and their energetic rescue pup named Teddy. |
